Documentary Film Award: the Jury

LORENZ KNAUER
Born 1953 in München.
Knauer is an independent documentary filmmaker.
Beginning 1990 he has worked for the renown series “Unter Unserem Himmel”.
2004-2010 he worked on the cinema documentary “Jane’s Journey” based on Dr. Jane Goodall. “Jane’s Journey” was awared with the “Green Oscar” aka the “International Green Film Award”.

ULLA WESSLER
Director of Filmstadt München, Documentary film fest Munich and BIMOVIE - film festival.

JOACHIM LEITNER.
Born on the italian-austrian border;
Journalist.
Has been a contributer for the International Film Festival of Innsbruck for several years, as well as the Kino Otok - Izola Cinema (Slovenia)

SUSAN GLUTH
Born 1986 in Hamburg,
Graduated from the HFF Munich in 1995 with a major in documentary film.
Starting 2003 she has been a filmmaker and camerawoman for documentaries.
Gluth produced her own films in 2005 and also began distributing her own films (“Wasser + Seife”).

WALTER STEFFEN
Screenwriter, director and producer.
